The Stranger's Name ?

The next morning, Aanya met Isha at their usual café, eager to share what had happened. Isha didn’t waste a second.

“So, spill it. How did the conversation go yesterday? You seemed… lighter,” Isha said, her eyes bright with curiosity. “What did he say?”

Aanya took a slow breath, a soft smile playing on her lips. “It was just… different, you know? He didn’t try to fix me or tell me what to do. He just listened. It wasn’t like those conversations where someone’s waiting for their turn to speak. He really listened.
Isha raised an eyebrow. “And you didn’t even ask for his name?”
"Aanya chuckled, a little embarrassed. “No, I didn’t. It didn’t feel important at the time, honestly. I was just… in the moment. But now, I kind of regret it.”

Isha leaned in, her voice dropping to a mock-serious tone. “Aanya, you had a deep conversation with a total stranger, and you didn’t even ask his name? Girl, what are you doing?”

Aanya laughed, feeling a little sheepish. “I know, it sounds crazy. But it was never about that. I didn’t even think to ask, I was just trying to process everything. But now, yeah, I kind of want to know. What if I see him again? It would be awkward, don’t you think?”

Isha smirked, tapping her fingers on the table as if scheming. “Well, you can’t just leave it hanging. You need to find out! What if he’s the one? What if he’s some kind of wise, mysterious guy who’s been waiting for you to ask his name?”

Aanya rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a grin. “I’m not saying he’s the one, but it would be nice to at least know his name.”

Isha crossed her arms, clearly plotting. “Okay, here’s the plan: You go back there tomorrow, and you ask. If you see him again, don’t chicken out. You just walk up and say, ‘Hey, I realized I don’t even know your name.’ Simple.”

Aanya hesitated. “What if it’s weird? What"
"Please,” Isha scoffed. “It’s not stalking if you just ask his name. And besides, you’ve already had a conversation with him, so it’s not like you’re a total stranger anymore. You just need to get it out in the open.”

Aanya nodded slowly, warming to the idea. “Yeah, you’re right. I guess I’m just nervous.”

Isha winked. “Who wouldn’t be? But hey, at least you’ll have the story to tell. And if nothing else, you’ll know who he is. No more mysteries.”

Aanya smiled, feeling lighter just talking about it. “Okay, fine. I’ll do it. But only if it feels right. I’ll let you know what happens.”
Isha leaned back, satisfied with the plan. “I’m just saying, Aanya… this could be your chance. Who knows? Maybe this is the start of something interesting.

Aanya laughed, shaking her head. “Don’t get ahead of yourself. Let’s just see where it goes.

They both sat back, the conversation settling into a comfortable silence as they sipped their coffee, each lost in their own thoughts about what could come next.
